The diversity of the topics covered is probably the factor that best defines Volume 17, Number 1. The issue begins with reflective articles based on theoretical concepts and approaches relating to both geopolitics and geoeconomics. Topics centred on international law, including human rights and migration issues, are complemented by others addressing various aspects of globalisation. International cooperation, diplomacy and paradiplomacy are highlighted, particularly when supported by case studies. The BRICs, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Uzbekistan’s foreign policy, the CPLP and the African Union, Angola and Nigeria. Volume 17, Number 1 is a major issue, both in terms of its scope and the content discussed across 31 articles, 6 notes and 1 review, written by 70 authors, of whom 22 are Portuguese (31.4%) and 48 are foreign (68.6%).
