Vol. 17 No. 1, DT2 (2026): Educação Ambiental, democracia e participação social no enfrentamento da crise civilizatória provocada pelas mudanças climáticas globais
This thematic dossier is the result of a process of international cooperation
launched in 2005, which aimed to bring together environmental educators
working in Portuguese-speaking countries and communities, drawing on the
characteristics that define their culture and history. The creation of the
Lusophone Network for Environmental Education (Redeluso) constitutes a process of
cooperation aimed at creating a space for collective action, committed
to building more sustainable, fairer and more democratic societies
through citizenship education. Among its activities, Redeluso organises
regular face-to-face meetings between participants from the countries and
communities that make up the network, namely Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Galicia
(Spain), Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and
Príncipe and Timor-Leste. This dossier therefore brings together reflections based on
environmental education practices developed and presented at the 7th International
Congress on Environmental Education of Portuguese-Speaking Countries and
Communities, which took place in July 2023 in the city of Maputo (Mozambique).
