This article aims to analyze the relationship between Environmental Education and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage in the municipality of Soyo, emphasizing the role of pedagogical practices in this process. Through Environmental Education and the appreciation of heritage, educational experiences are promoted that act as foundations for understanding the environment in a deeper and more critical way. These practices allow for the recovery of cultural narratives that have integrated into the natural dynamics and influenced past generations, deeply rooted in unique historical and cultural aspects. The study focuses on the actions of various actors, including history teachers from the "Madre Maria de Fátima Martins" High School in Mpinda/Soyo. The study followed a methodological approach centered on qualitative analysis, employing semi-structured interviews and bibliographic review as the main tools. The aim was to deepen the understanding of each of the perspectives presented by the participants. It was discovered that these activities not only foster environmental awareness but also contribute to the scientific and civic education of students. The results show that integrating Environmental Education with the appreciation of historical and cultural heritage enhances environmental awareness and preservation. Contextualized pedagogical practices are fundamental to developing a sense of environmental and heritage responsibility in students, with a view to forming a conscious and active citizenry in relation to their role in the relationship between society and nature.
